In Windows Explorer WinKey+E, navigate to & right-click on. C:Program Files Microsoft Security Client.
I'm not sure when i installed MSE it has been over a year but probably not two years ago; don't recall if it came with Office 2010 or I downloaded it independently.2. I don't remember what used to be on here for anti virus software, but update used to work in MSE, so i don't think i had any conflicts until recently.
Hi I've got EUROPE map and I need to install it on 4 Gb sd card. Heard that need to upgrade bootloader 5.5xxx. Tomtom one xl updates.
Recenlty, Comcast installed it's security junk (the installation guy did it w/out asking me) includingMcaFee. I have tried to uninstall them but they appear to be messing with other things in addition to this issue, like my ISP address or w/ever, cuz every time i log onto facebook it thinks i'm on a different machine.3. See above, McAfee was recently added and appears to be messing with my Firefox browser and/or other security settings.4. Don't recall answer to this one, but as stated, the machine used to run the update.5. I found kb971029; but none numbered kb261, 262, 263, 264 or 266. In fact none of the others listed are present.
Did i mention that i am and prefer to remain running Firefox?6. Yes firefox is installed and running whenever i browse.7. I have used 'cleanup' a few times, and 'hijack this' maybe once8. No i have not.Thank you for any help.

Can I install Microsoft Security Essentials or any other anti-virus/anti-spyware application to clean up my already-infected computer?and then see.
