Solution: Install the AutoCAD Heidi (HDI) driver from KIP and setup a PC3 file for printing:. Download the KIP AutoCAD driver:(scroll down to 'KIP PC App: AutoCAD Driver')The newest driver is likely the best choice, but please consult with KIP support for information specific to your printer model. Extract the downloaded ZIP file. Within AutoCAD, type in the PLOTTERMANAGER command to open the Plotters folder. Run the Add-A-Plotter Wizard. (It may be necessary to right-click run as administrator if permission errors are encountered in the following steps.). Leave it on 'My Computer' and click Next.

Click 'Have Disk' and browse to the extracted driver folder, navigating into the appropriate AutoCAD folder, into the language folder, and then select/open the kipxx.hif file. This installs the KIP driver into AutoCAD. Select KIP for the manufacturer, select a model, and then click Next twice.
Select the port for the physical KIP printer. It will be listed if the KIP driver for Windows has been installed into the operating system. Click Next. Name the printer, if you like.
Click Next and then Finish.There will now be a new PC3 file for the KIP printer in AutoCAD for plotting.

Error still occurs after installing the service pack.Using the non-AutoCAD driver works.Not sure if there is a fix for this yet but I am posting this to get the word out.Thanks in advance to anyone with insight on this one.
