Clintmartin Glad it helps. I need to setup things like you got them cecelius2. That sounds awesome. The only trick is that the Toontrack midi files have section/folder labels that appear empty in the Media Browswer; the folder tree system does not apply in the media browser. What I learned to do is when I find an empty folder, I just click on the next folder and usually the midi files that would normally be in that folder are actually there in the next folder. The blanks were problemsome at first, but then I learned that Toontrack folder system does not appear properly in the Media Broswer. The folder/subdirectories appear normally in the EZdrummer of course but they don't in the X3 media browser.
So if you find a blank or empty folder, go back up, and then click on the next folder. Yeah, it is problematic, but once you figure it out, you can preview Toontrack midi files using X3's Media Browser.

Just experiment and you will get the hang of it. Edit: One thing I forgot: You can adjust the kind of display/view you want in the X3 Media Browser. You can set it to include all folders and files, or just folders or none. Play around with the views settings and find one that works best for you. The main thing is that if you find an empty folder it is just a 'header', just go back up one level and select another folder and soon you will figure out the way it all is displayed.
@cecelius2 - I received your PM but unfortunately the file was not attached and due to the forum restrictions I cannot respond to your PM until I hit certain requirements, one of which is 25 posts. Now I really don't want to have to spam up your fine forums with unnecessary posts just to receive this file so I hope I won't be seen as presumptuous if I leave this here email address here and ask if you could send the file there - rotimercakewalk at outlook dot com If you could do so, and as long as there are no objections, then I will host the file and will post a link to it here so anyone else led here with similar desires can just download it. Much obliged.
